So Jay's mom came up for a visit this weekend and we got to spend some time with her and his aunt, uncle, and cousins. Jay decided we needed to cook out Friday night. At one point, Jay came in saying he needed either a pitcher of water or a fire extinguisher. I thought it was one of his usual "jokes". I looked outside, and he had indeed started a fire. It's a good thing he's a professional.
Jay's mom and I also went through some baby picture of Jay we are going to use for a wedding video. Check out the fireman as a kid.
11 1/2 days left in school 37 days until our Mexico vacation 73 days until our beach vacay with the Williams' 141 days until our wedding With lots of fun stuff planned in between...
Kid in my class: My dog peed all over my backpack. Me: Did your mom wash it? Kid (laughing): Why would she wash it? Me: Well does it stink? Kid (laughing even harder): Yeah
It's going to be a great day. Only 16 days until summer...
Happy Mother's Day to all you crazy moms out there. I'd like to send a shout out to the newest mom I know, Sarah who gave birth Thursday to the only newborn I've ever seen with hair long enough to braid!
So one of my favorite things to do in the summer is get out our inflatable kiddie pool and sit in the backyard and barbecue. So you can imagine my excitement when it was finally warm enough Sunday to break it in for 2008! The best part is, now we have not one, but two kiddie pools! So we can enjoy kiddie pool time at our city home (in Hewitt) or our country home (in Chalk Bluff). Oh the excitement!!
Jay giving me the usual "get the camera out of my face" look.
So as most of you who know me well have heard, all this wedding planning is not really my cup of tea. The week after Jay and I got engaged, I started looking at wedding magazines and almost had an anxiety attack. I really could care less about things like table linens and centerpieces. However, now that much of the hard stuff is taken care of, I got to start with the fun stuff...like wedding dress shopping! Today I went with my mom and grandmother Nell. We had lots of fun. Here is a pic of Nell and me. You'll have to wait until October 4 to see the dress we picked!
