Baby Quilt
I just finished a baby quilt for Jay's new nephew Cason. I decided to do fire trucks in honor of Uncle Jay. Here is the finished product...

Busy Summer!
I have only had a week of summer vacation and already we have been busy, busy, busy. Jay's brother and his wife had a baby so we went to visit him, we barbecued with the Williams', visited with Jay's mom, and I have done some major house cleaning. But I wasn't too busy to help Carrie celebrate the Big 3-0! We went up to Fort Worth yesterday for the big birthday bash. It was great seeing Carrie and Jill and catching up with old friends. Here are some pics...

Food!
So I feel like everything I did this weekend revolved around food. You would think I would have some sort of self control since I have two beach vacations planned this summer not to mention fitting in the wedding dress but apparently I don't.
It started off Friday morning. The office got us breakfast trays. Yes, I had already eaten breakfast but that didn't stop me. Free food is always good. After school I went with the Sara(h)'s to see Sex and the City. Yes, popcorn was involved. I think I ate the whole bag in the first 30 minutes.
Saturday morning started off with a road trip to Dallas with Sara. We stopped in West for not one but two kolaches. We went to a jewelry party hosted by the always fabulous Tamara...more food. We then came back to Waco and I ate lunch with Jay and his brother. Fried food no doubt. We then went to a fish fry to celebrate Michelle's birthday...more food.
Sunday was spent in the baby pool drinking champagne and pineapple juice. Needless to say, I stepped on the scale this morning to an alarming number. I am now drinking slim fast for breakfast.

The weekend
So Jay's mom came up for a visit this weekend and we got to spend some time with her and his aunt, uncle, and cousins. Jay decided we needed to cook out Friday night. At one point, Jay came in saying he needed either a pitcher of water or a fire extinguisher. I thought it was one of his usual "jokes". I looked outside, and he had indeed started a fire. It's a good thing he's a professional.

Jay's mom and I also went through some baby picture of Jay we are going to use for a wedding video. Check out the fireman as a kid.

Happy Tuesday
Here's how my day started:
Kid in my class: My dog peed all over my backpack.
Me: Did your mom wash it?
Kid (laughing): Why would she wash it?
Me: Well does it stink?
Kid (laughing even harder): Yeah
It's going to be a great day. Only 16 days until summer...
